Fishing in Rider Nation with Tearrius George and Brendon LaBatte
There are a lot of places across our great province that could win the title of “Rider Nation” and our recent visit to Hitchcock Bay showed us that this tiny resort community is definitely one of them.
We arrived to a quite the fan fare, including a buggy blasting “Green is the Colour”, before heading out on the lake with Lake Diefenbaker Fishing Charters. On the water, Ross, owner/operator took Brendon and Tearrius to a few different fishing holes before the fish started biting. And they only seemed to like Tearrius’ line since he caught 4 different fish and Brendon got skunked! Since the entire trip was a variety of competitions between the two Tearrius was pretty happy to win that round.
After being on the water for a couple hours we went in for a fish fry. When we arrived it looked like we were in the RIder Store, everyone was decked out in their Rider gear! Brendon and Tearrius were gracious and happily took photos and signed things for everyone.
I’m not sure who was more excited, Tearrius for catching the most fish, or the residents of Hitchcock Bay having a couple of Riders in town! All in all, it was a fun time for everyone.
